Job Purpose:
The IT security officer is responsible for efficiently and effectively implementing, developing, and administering all IT security systems and policies within the company.
Job Responsibilities:
Implementing and developing IT security systems and policies.
Maintaining and administering of IT security systems and policies.
Protecting data, network, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing IT security measures.
Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems that may result from security tooling or processes.
Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.
Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
Conferring with network engineers about solving network security problems.
Operating master consoles to monitor vulnerabilities of networks and computer systems.
Designing, configuring and testing IT security software, computer hardware, and operating system software to meet the companies IT security standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Information Technology.
Relevant certification in IT security.
Experience:
3-5 Experience in an IT security role.
Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
Dependable and flexible when necessary
